Motovan Joins the Fight Against Cancer
Funds raised through the End Cancer initiative will support the Canadian Cancer Society

April 24th, 2006 (Boucherville, Québec) – The Canadian Cancer Society’s recently released statistics for 2006, estimate that 153,100 new cases of cancer will be diagnosed in Canada.  According to current incident rates, two in five Canadians will develop cancer during their lifetimes and approximately one in four Canadians will die from the disease.  Motovan Corporation and its dealers are proud to join in the fight against cancer with a fundraising initiative in support of the Canadian Cancer Society.

Beginning on May 1, through to June 30, 2006, Motovan is launching its first ever End-Cancer initiative.  Available to all Motovan dealers, this sales program has been developed to allow dealers who purchase qualifying product to take advantage of added benefits, as well as the satisfaction of knowing that they are contributing to an important cause.  A percentage of the sales generated through this program, will be donated by Motovan to the Canadian Cancer Society, on behalf of participating dealers.

Promotional efforts(such as e-mails and faxes) have already begun to make Motovan dealers aware of the program and representatives will be making sales calls across the country to encourage increased participation.

Corporate social responsibility is a growing issue amongst Canadian companies, and it is something Motovan takes to heart.  A focus on employees, the community, and the environment, not simply on the bottom line, is what allows Motovan to differentiate itself in the powersports industry.  “In 2006 we have been looking for projects that make our stakeholders proud of being part of Motovan.  We chose the Canadian Cancer Society for this specific project, as cancer has affected many of our employees both directly or indirectly and we felt it would be a cause that our dealers would also be able to easily relate to.” States Michael Paladino, Marketing Director, Motovan Corporation.

“Research by global organizations, including the World Economic Forum, the International Institute for Management Development, and Transparency International, indicates that Canadian business leaders are considered to be amongst the most credible, most ethical, least corrupt and most value driven in the world.” ¹ Being in business in Canada for over 25 years, Motovan has been dedicated to growing the powersports industry through tight knit relationships with dealers, suppliers and the end-users.
