At Mustang, we aim to provide the data you need to select the right seat not just for your motorcycle, but also for you. For ma ny models, we offer
seats with a variety of seating heights and positions that sit the rider at different distances from the tank than standard.
As a very general rule, riders with longer legs should choose an extended-reach seat, and riders with shorter legs should choo se a reduced-reach
or low seat, when available.
We want to be as accurate as possible, but there are many data points we simply can't predict, such as:
• Certain models use seats with different heights for different model years
• Some models are sold with seats that do not position riders the same as a more typical seat for that model
• Older OEM seats tend to be lower than newer ones, even with the same design, as the OEM seat foam will compress over time
• You might tend to ride with a different posture or style than other riders, and your unique anatomy may differ from the typical rider, so your
perception may not match those of other riders
Due to these and other factors, please view all of our positioning information as guidelines only. If you need more precise adv ice on what seat will
work best for you, please call our Mustang seat experts at (800) 243-1392.
