EBC CLUTCH KITS
Standard - CK Series
Almost identical to original equipment clutch plates, the CK series are a cork
based product impregnated with aluminum particles to increase wear life and
heat resistance. Material is highly compressed to avoid swell and clutch drag
and is an ideal general purpose replacement material for all grades and sizes of
motorcycles. Kit includes a complete “engine set” of friction plates only.
CSK Spring Kits
Always fit new springs which get tired after miles of heat and use. EBC spring kits
are 10% stiffer than standard and are sold in engine sets. As stated in general
fitting/safety instructions, advise customers that lever will feel slightly heavier when
uprating springs, and to test ride to acquaint themselves with the change in control.
Upgrade - SRC Kevlar Series (Race/Sport)
A Kevlar paper lined plate set complete with heavy-duty clutch springs, (for bikes
fitted with diaphragm type springs, we cannot supply a heavy duty spring kit), the
SRC kit is ideal for heavy sport bikes, faster riders and production based race use.
Advantages of the SRC Kevlar series are longer life, and higher heat resistance.
This clutch has a more aggressive/ faster take up than the CK cork series.
SRK Aramid Fibre
The EBC Brakes® SRK Aramid fibre clutch kit is the perfect choice for high
performance street and road race use. The kit contains a complete engine set of
aramid paper lined clutch plates as well as pin planished steel driven plates and
heavy duty clutch springs or diaphragm type springs where appropriate. Each
kit is measured to give the perfect stack height and should only be fitted as a
whole kit and not as individual plates. Soak clutch plates in the correct quantity
of manufacturer's recommended drive case oil for a few hours before installation.
Never use automatic transmission fluid. We strongly recommend that this clutch
is fitted by a professionally trained mechanic. It is always best to fit new clutch
springs at the same time as changing the clutch plates due to heat fatigue of old
springs. Before riding your motorcycle please ensure you are comfortable with the
new lever force and can easily disengage the clutch with minimal hand pressure
